Canon Envirothon 2009 - Asheville, North Carolina

New Brunswick sent a crew of five Host Committee members to the Canon Envirothon in Asheville, North Carolina this past August. The Canon Envirothon 2011 crew volunteered on various committees and helped with many tasks throughout the week-long competition. They gained valuable experience that will be shared amongst their committee members.

The Canon Envirothon 2011 New Brunswick Host Committee is continuing to build new partnerships that will strengthen the resource base that has already been established.
Canon Envirothon is a world class youth event that will bring New Brunswick to the forefront of environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Envirothon creates a forum for secondary school students to explore environmental issues from a variety of viewpoints with their peers, natural resource professionals and community leaders. Youth are made more aware of the needs of the natural world and the effects of human impacts on the environment.

CFANB encourages anyone to take an active interest in this project. People are needed to volunteer their time on the various committees in place to prepare for the Canon Envirothon that will be held in Sackville, New Brunswick, July 24-30, 2011.
